| The Arden Hotel - Sunday Lunch - Aug 9th 2009 | ||||
Over recent years, it has become a tradition of the North Worcestershire Lodge to try and meet up during the closed season for a little get together. The reason for this is not just to meet up again for a 'booze up', but it is another chance for our Ladies to get to know each other a little better. Sunday 9th August saw five brethren of the Lodge and a former Founder member, get together along with their ladies for an excellent lunch at the Arden Hotel. It seemed a little disappointing at first, that due to holidays and other commitments, only 12 people could make the dinner, however, 12 people seemed to be just enough and it actually turned out to better than expected as and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Taking all if the positives from the meeting, the ladies got to know each other better which always makes it easier next time they meet up. The dinner also gave our new Brother Kevin Dann and his wife Kerry to a chance to get to know everyone a little better. To top off the day, a small raffle was held which managed to raise £40 which will go to the 2011 appeal. A big thank you to everyone who made the dinner a special event, for those that attended and for once again digging deep into those Charitable pockets in aid of such a good cause.
